Rockwood and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) are pleased to announce the continuation of our partnership to host a Fellowship for SEIU Leaders. The Fellowship, a six-month program for 22 SEIU leaders, is one element of a systematic and comprehensive leadership development program throughout the Union. This 2012-13 initiative with Rockwood follows a pilot conducted last year.
SEIU President Mary Kay Henry shares, “As an alumna of the Rockwood National Leading from the Inside Out Yearlong Fellowship, I know firsthand the transformational power of a Rockwood Leadership program. The 23 SEIU leaders that completed the first SEIU Fellowship can also testify to the power of this experience and have recommended a continuation of this program.”
Rockwood and SEIU are proud to be continuing this partnership, and extend a warm welcome to the 2012 class.
Program
The stated purpose of the SEIU Fellowship is: to create a diverse group of 22 committed, courageous, influential officers, and senior staff who fully embrace the union’s strategic direction and are prepared to be visible and vocal leaders both as a group and as individual leaders within specific spheres of influence.
Program design includes:
- 1 four-day and 2 three-day intensive leadership retreats
- Daily practices to support and reinforce learning throughout the program
- Extensive workbooks for each retreat, filled with tools and processes to use within their own organizations
- Personalized assignments and practices to bridge learning between sessions
- Ongoing support in applying the concepts and tools of the training through expert and peer learning
- Professional coaching resources
