Here’s what some alum of the Art of Leadership for Women in Racial Justice and Human Rights have to say about their experience:

nikki-henderson
“I learned that my vision hasn’t actually changed – I’ve tried to be responsive to what I think “the movement” needs, and that’s shifted me away from my calling. I need to stick to what I love.”
~ Nikki Henderson, Executive Director, People’s Grocery

Lisa Fu

“I came away having more clarity around my life purpose, and to have realistic expectations while celebrating what I am capable of, and what I’ve overcome.”
~ Lisa Fu, Program and Outreach Director, California Healthy Nail Salon Collaborative

Rev. Rebecca Voelkel

“The emphasis on purpose (clarity about values, why I am doing this, etc.) was a great reminder for me.  While I do a lot of this already, it challenged me to be even more intentional and thoughtful, and to translate my purpose into a clear vision and process.”
~ Rev. Rebecca Voelkel, Program Director, Institute for Welcoming Resource, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force

Vicki B. Gaubeca
“The leadership training provided me with the necessary space for reflection about the vision I have for my organization and my leadership style. Thanks to this space, I was able to see more clearly how I could make improvements and inspire leadership in my team.”
~ Vicki B. Gaubeca, Director, Regional Center for Border Rights, ACLU of New Mexico

“I feel committed to slowing down and bringing more intention and attention to my personal and work relationships.  I have clarity about the leader I want to be, the leader I am, and the concrete steps I can take to bridge the differences between the two.”
~Andrea Lee, Co-Director for Administration and Development, Mujeres Unidas y Activas
