September 28: Amie Lam

Amie Lam is a writer, copyeditor, consultant and trainer, passionate about uplifting and documenting stories of underrepresented communities. She brings her knowledge of nonprofit communications and teaching to create learning experiences and content that informs and uplifts.

Her experience growing up first generation in the Bay Area has informed much of her work in writing pieces that are empowering and creating spaces that nurture a sense of belonging amongst many cultures. Amie partners with a wide range of companies – from local businesses to nationally-known non-profits – to communicate their values and missions through storytelling workshops and targeted copywriting, blogs and a wide variety of content.

Whether writing, training or teaching, she helps people portray themselves in the best light and connect to their sense of joy. When she isn’t writing or teaching, she enjoys designing creative photoshoots, planning her next road trip, and dancing bachata.
